This week I went to a excursion. The place I chose for travel was Bainbridge island.at first , I chose Georgetown for travel ,however , I changed my mind. because Bainbridge more attract me. I went to there by myself. I enjoyed this tour. In this post I will share a few of my favorite places in the trip.
I started trip from my live place Beacon hill . before I had set off I searched information on the Google map figured out how to get there spent least time .anyway this was my first time went on excursion by myself . It was very excited . at first , I need to take number 36 bus went to University street and then walked to Alaskan way . I bought a passenger ticket to board the ferry . I had never took such huge ferry before. Virtually, just walk to the ferry terminal and then on to the boat. It's $8 for an adult ,but you only pay one way. The return trip from Bainbridge island is free.
On the way to the island you can have a good view of the outline of the Seattle . There were a couple of spots that stand out and were personal favorites here,as well as a place or two that I would like to try next time. I also visited two of my favorite local spots : Blackbird Bakery, Pegasus Coffee.
1.Blackbird Bakery
When I was walking down Winslow Way on the right side , I met up with Blackbird Bakery. It's a small bakery on the corner. The coffee was good and their cookies, including one shaped and decorated like a ferry . the shop itself is located on the sunny northern side of the street ,which means that sitting here was a great way to warm up in the winter sun or for enjoying the summer light.
When I caught this coffee store this first image came to my mind was my hometown.in my hometown also have some similar coffee store . I decided have a try . it did taste well . Pegasus Coffee has been around for nearly three decades and servers up excellent coffee . The building has a lot of charm with Virginia creeper covered brick sides and large storefront windows , plus an outdoor patio for warmer months . Beyond just coffee , Pegasus offers their own tea , a selection of local beer and wine , and local baked goods . So I highly recommend it to everyone.
3 The mysterious church
when I have finished enjoyed coffee in the Pegasus coffee store. I stepped out of the store. it was getting dark . I caught of a church in front of the street. being decorated light the church was become very mysterious . I was so full of curiosity that I want to have a visiting.
4 Seattle city night scene
Some of my friends had told me Seattle city night scene was gorgeous before I took this trip. so this time I must take this chance to enjoy it . On the return to downtown , it was completely dark , so I have a good view of Seattle night scene. the wind from the lake swept the face . it made you fell very comfortable but a little cold. when the ferry almost sailed the shore side , a huge painting unfold before my eyes-----Seattle night scene.
Overall, I think this was an excellent tour for me, it provided a opportunity to made me explore myself and Seattle . from this trip I learned some of local culture and nice food. it help me integrate into local community and get along with other people. I will travel again in the next time.
